These are the most-loved tools in my kitchen.

Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer (I think the Professional series is worth it for the metal gears, especially when using attachments like the grain mill or making large batches of bread.)
Attachments I own and love:
Food Grinder (perfect for pureeing soups, tomatoes, etc.)
Grain Mill (This thing is a workhorse. I use it for everything from turning whole wheat into flour, to breaking up grains for day-old chicks.)
Shredder/Slicer (Also a workhorse. It will pay for itself the first time you grate a 5 lb. block of cheese.)
Ice Cream Maker (I use this attachment so much that I eventually picked up a second one.)
Pouring Shield (ensures that the flour gets in the bowl, and not on your countertop.)
Cuisinart Exact Heat Convection/Toaster Oven (I often use this for smaller baked goods rather than firing up the gas oven.)
Oster 6-cup Glass Jar Blender (the glass jar is key; you don’t want to puree hot liquids in plastic.)
Pots & Pans
6″ cake pans (these are especially useful because they have almost exactly 1/2 the volume of a 9″ cake pan, so you can halve any recipe for a smaller layer cake)
